Honorary President of ICR 2010

The officers of the Iranian Society of Radiology (ISR) and The 26TH Iranian Congress of Radiology (ICR 2010) have kindly invited me to be the honorary president of the ICR 2010, which I have gladly accepted. In this capacity I sincerely welcome all of the participants to this scientific meeting.
The official language of the congress has been English since the 24TH ICR in Shiraz. There will be several simultaneous scientific sessions conducted during the congress. The main program consists of refresher courses by Iranian and invited internationally known speakers. Scientific papers from Iran and abroad, approved by the program committee, will be also included in the meeting.
This year the presenters will focus on the main four themes of ICR 2010 which are urogenital, cardiovascular, and molecular imaging, as well as the radiology education and research, but in addition, there will be scientific presentations in all other subspecialties of diagnostic imaging. Joint sessions with other medical specialists will be simultaneously conducted, in order to provide an opportunity for inter-disciplinary education and exchange of professional ideas. Several interactive workshops will be an integral part of the program, to make it possible for the participants to practically improve their professional skills. Scientific and technical exhibits will be located in an elaborate section of the Olympic Hotel.
I am certain that the congress will be a high quality scientific adventure as well as a very pleasant gathering of colleagues in the beautiful land of ancient Persia.
